What's New

Now Out: Radical Note 78, 1 Revision, and 4 New-Monics

I planned to publish essay 1485 on 跡 (trace; ruins) today, but it will come out tomorrow instead. In the meantime, I want to tell you about plenty of other new material.

Radical Note 78 on the ”death" radical 歹 has posted. Check this free resource to learn what needed to happen to a corpse before the ancient Chinese declared someone dead! Also see what role the 歹 radical plays in kanji such as 死 (286: death), 残 (493: to remain), and 殖 (1426: to multiply).

In addition, a revision of the following essay is now available:

Details are at the link. If you've bought this essay before or if you have a subscription, you can download the new version for free.

Finally, Ulrike is back with these new-monics:

核 (1074: nucleus)
較 (1077: comparison)
刈 (1092: to cut)
冠 (1097: crown)
