Pun Potential

Some exciting news! I was asked to write a guest blog for a series about Japanese literature in translation. The very capable series editor David Jacobson wanted me to write about kanji in particular, and I was happy and honored to oblige. You can find Part I and Part II of my blog post "Pun Potential" on the site of the Global Literature in Libraries Initiative.

As the series continues this month, you'll be able to see contributions from Jay Rubin, Zack Davisson, Fred Schodt, Peter Goodman, Bruce Rutledge, Roland Kelts, Sally Ito, and many more!
