Graphic Designer
Born in 1983, Tiara Marina lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. A 2005 graduate of the Art and Design Faculty of Bandung Institute of Technology, she now works as a graphic designer for the advertising arm of a pharmaceutical company in Jakarta.
Tiara created the PDF template for Joy o' Kanji. She also designed the Joy o' Kanji stroke order diagrams and made all of them.
In her spare time, she loves to draw, and she does freelance graphic design and illustration jobs. Since childhood, she has enjoyed reading Japanese manga (comics) and drawing manga-style cartoons. In 2004, she collaborated with a friend and made a manga-style comic book that PT Elex Media Komputindo published in 2006. Now with a friend, Tiara publishes an online comic.
Her love of manga sparked an interest in Japanese culture. She studied Japanese for two years in high school and worked for a Japanese company for one year. She recently took her first trip to Japan. Tiara has visited several southeast Asian countries and dreams of traveling around the world someday. Her favorite kanji is 勢 (いきお・い) because it means "power."
